Some Recent Handovers

Potters Bar Community Hospital

We have recently completed the refurbishment of 4 no. wet rooms, 2 no. storerooms and 2 no. Palliative Care rooms at Potters Bar Community Hospital, for Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust.

The project was subject to a very tight programme, however with our own workforce on site carrying out the plumbing works, along with the making good etc, we completed the scheme on time and to an exceptionally high standard.

The Client was delighted with the finished product and was very pleased with how smoothly the project ran with minimal disruption to staff and patients.

Falconers Road, Luton

This project was handed over on the 29th February 2012, and consisted of 4 flats for Luton Community Housing, with one of the flats being constructed partially underground behind a 525mm thick concrete retaining wall.

The site itself proved difficult to construct as originally it could have been benchmarked for the 2012 Olympics Ski Jump, however with good management, VE Parrott soon overcome all the complications presented to them.

Sandy Health Centre

The existing Health Centre at Sandy has been refurbished and works were completed on 2nd March 2012.

The project was divided into 5 sections and the building was kept operational during the refurbishment works. The works consisted of demolition and alteration of the existing layout including the installation of steel supports. The reception desks were replaced along with the cabinetry.

The project was undertaken for Bedfordshire PCT and the project architect commented that the finished result `looked very nice indeed` The client also commented that he was `very satisfied with the performance` of Parrott Construction.
