Happy New Year

NEW YEAR…..NEW SITES…….

Parrott Construction are looking forward to a very busy New Year.  We are currently on site constructing 89 much needed houses and flats for rental or shared ownership.  These units are being constructed over eight different sites, with the variety of styles and locations demonstrating Parrott Construction’s versatility.

In closest proximity to our Head Office in Kempston, we are constructing 13 houses and flats at Mill Road, Sharnbrook on behalf of our client Hastoe Housing Association.  These will be to Passivhaus standard, which is the ‘best of the best’ in terms of low energy buildings and the fastest growing energy performance standard in the world – excellent thermal performance, exceptional airtightness with mechanical ventilation.

Further along the A6 on a disused petrol filing station we are designing and building 9 flats for rental in Rushden for one of our regular clients Grand Union Housing Group.

We are also constructing 9 prestigious flats in Cranfield for the Almshouse Charity of James Goodman.  Built in the traditional Almshouse style of old, but with completely modern internal fixtures and fittings.

Staying with the theme of constructing prestigious buildings, our exclusive development project set in its own grounds at Astrop Grange, Kings Sutton will provide ten newly built, elegant two bedroom apartments in a traditional style country home to match the recently demolished former Georgian manor house.  With a stone façade, sliding sash windows and slate roofing, this will very much complement the surroundings, combining the very best of modern design, yet reflecting its classic rural setting.  Each spacious apartment, which we are constructing on behalf of our client Grand Union Housing Group, will enjoy high levels of insulation, quality fittings, storage and stunning views of the shared gardens and countryside.

At Parrott Construction we are not just about new build, our refurbishment teams are currently extending and renovating four Almshouses at Little Gransden.  Once complete, they will be warm, energy efficient homes for deserving occupants.

Our round up of current sites concludes with our project at Yaxley, Peterborough, where a long awaited all rental scheme of 13 houses has just commenced for Oak Foundation.

We are currently negotiating imminent starts on in excess of 100 units for rental or shared ownership as we are finding that our clients increasingly require the personal attention, expertise and excellent build quality that Parrott Construction always provide.

IMPENDING SITE HANDOVERS

We are nearing handover of our project at Longstanton, consisting of 7 houses and 10 flats for Iceni Homes and, similarly at Earith our development of 11 houses for rental for our client bpha is also almost complete.
