Passivhaus Award received in recognition of our site in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire.

Parrott Construction Site Manager Tony Ludlow pictured below on the right receiving the Certified Passivhaus Standard Award from Parrott Contracts Manager Kelvin Clarke for successful completion of our site at Mill Road, Sharnbook, Bedfordshire, on behalf of our Client Hastoe Housing Association. The scheme consisted of the Design and Construction of 13 dwellings, comprising a combination of two and three bedroomed houses and flats for rental, shared ownership and market sale.

The Passivhaus Standard is characterised by very high energy savings compared with conventional new builds, helping to reduce energy generation whilst also delivering considerable savings on utility bills. This is achieved by means of highly efficient building systems and components together with careful planning. This high level of efficiency is critical to achieving the Passivhaus Standard.

Both Parrott Construction and Hastoe Housing Association were delighted with the end product, which delivered low carbon, comfortable, efficient and sustainable homes, utilising more carbon efficient and greener practices, thereby contributing to the need to protect our planet, reduce the rising energy gap and work towards a lower carbon future.
